A PICTURE OF ISRAEL AT 54: PAIN, PRIDE AND PATRIOTISM
Like all of Israel, the Ohr Torah Stone family is negotiating the country's difficult and frightening new reality with determination, resilience and unwavering patriotism. In these pages, we share some remarkable "behind the headlines" stories that reflect our pride in the devotion and courage of our students and faculty: the children, teenagers and adults who must take extraordinary precautions every day as they travel to and from school; the students who refuse to leave their yeshiva even when it is under mortar attack; the teachers whose year was abruptly interrupted by a month of emergency reserve duty; the 99% of overseas students who did not hesitate to come back to Israel following their Pesach vacation, even as violence soared.
Every one of them is an inspiring example of Ohr Torah Stone's dedication to safeguarding Torah values and defending the Land of Israel.
